Dr. Brent E. Herrin - Veterinarian
Dr. Herrin was raised in Cassville, Missouri and received a Bachelor’s of Agriculture and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri in 1988 and 1992. After spending 2 years in north central Indiana in a busy 3 doctor mixed animal practice he moved back to Cassville where he opened the Herrin Animal Hospital. In 2001 he purchased the Monett Veterinary Hospital and received AAHA certification for both hospitals.
Dr. Herrin has a special interest in orthopedic surgery and animal behavior, but enjoys all aspects of small animal practice. He continues to expand the referral services that the hospital provides to other local veterinarians and he is an ELITE product specialist for Zoetis Animal Health.
He resides between Cassville and Monett with his wife, Cordelia, son Eli and daughter Isabel. His family also includes Gus, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and Huck, a "stow-away" tuxedo kitty. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing and working on his small beef farm.
Brittany - Veterinary Assistant
Brittany joined our staff in August of 2011. She was born and raised in Monett and attended Berean and Harvest Christian Academies. Britt, as we all call her, Spends some time at the front desk but her primary duties lie with caring for the animals.
Brittany enjoys spending time with her family which includes David, her husband since May of 2016, Cash, her 8-year-old Border Collie, and Kitty, a 4-year-old Yorkie, who often accompany them to the lake for a swim or fishing trip.
Brittany enjoys caring for your babies and looks forward daily to meeting the pets and their parents.
Lauryn - Client Care Specialist/Veterinary Assistant
Lauryn joined our staff in March of 2016. She has lived in Marionville since July 2015, though she is from the small town of St. James, MO where she lived on a farm with all sorts of animals; from dogs and barn cats to llamas and yaks.
Lauryn enjoys being outdoors, from hiking and swimming in the summer to hunting and horseback riding in the fall. Her boyfriend Jon and her take their two dogs, Chase the Pitbull and Piper the Husky, on hikes and long walks whenever they can.
You will most likely see Lauryn's friendly and smiling face at the front desk. She looks forward daily to greeting you and your pets!
Kelsie - Client Care Specialist/Veterinary Assistant
Kelsie joined our staff in April of 2016. She graduated from Greenfield High School and has attended two years at Ozarks Technical Community College.
She now lives in Aurora with her husband, Dalton. They are expecting to add a new member to their family in February of 2017.
In her spare time she enjoys craft projects, drawing, and being involved in church activities.
Kelsie spends some time at the front desk but helps with caring for the animals when needed. She is very excited to be a part of our team and looks forward to getting to know you and your pets!
Rebecca - Kennel/Veterinary Assistant
Rebecca joined our team in September of 2016. She lived in a lot of different places, but born and raised here in Missouri. She graduated Monett High School in 2011. She went to Crowder College for 2 years and has gotten her Associate's degree in Biology. She has lots of furry babies of her own and is currently planning for her special day in May of 2017! Rebecca loves traveling with her fiancé on his motorcycle for long weekend trips and enjoys out door things like hiking, fishing, kayaking, and going to the lake with family and friends whenever she can. She is very excited to be a member of our team and is looking forward to meeting and bonding with you and caring for your pet!
Shelby - Kennel Assistant
Shelby joined our team in April of 2016 as our Kennel Attendant. She is a lifelong resident of Monett where she attends the Monett High School. She is a junior this year and is a member of the DECA, FBLA, and the Key club. She also enjoys being on the student counsel.
She has two sweet Chihuahuas, Gizmo and Charlos. Her hobbies include going to the lake and spending quality time with her friends and family. She plans on attending college after high school, but still unsure where and what she will major in.
Although you won't see Shelby very often she is a great member of our team and she looks forward to meeting and bonding with your fur baby!
